Master of Education

Master of Education (M.Ed.) is a two-year program (four semesters) that helps produce higher level qualified, competent, academic manpower, teachers and educators, educational planners and administrators, system analysts and experts in the field of education. This program consists of professional/pedagogical core courses and specialized courses.

Subjects Offered

Education Planning and Management (EPM), English Education, Health Education, Mathematics Education, Population Education.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.)
  2. Have a specialized subject for admission
  3. Pass an entrance exam for admission to a specialized subject

Master of Business Studies

MBS program is a two-year semester-based course divided into four semesters. This program covers core courses, specialization courses, and a dissertation. It provides students with an in-depth understanding of business management. The objective of this program is to enable the students to work as competent managers and to meet the demand of higher-level managers in organizations, particularly in the functional areas of management. After the completion of graduation, a student should be able to function as a manager in business, industry, government, and non-government sectors, within and outside the country, in areas like accounting, marketing, finance, and general management.

Eligibility Criteria

  1. Have completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a university recognized by Tribhuvan University.
  2. Have passed the Central Management Admission Test (CMAT) with at least 40 marks.
  3. Apply for admission to a college that offers the MBS program.

Master of Arts in Sociology

The objective of MA in Sociology is to impart up-to-date knowledge of the theories and methods of sociology to the students along with training in field-work and secondary data analysis. It provides skilled human resources for the development needs of society. The overall objective of this academic program is to develop professional skills, in theory, practice, and research in sociology. Graduates find work in governmental & non-governmental fields that require similar skills, such as social services, planning, monitoring, awareness programs, and many more social programs associated with the communities.

Eligibility Criteria

All candidate must meet following criteria to be eligible for admission:

  1. Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in the relevant subject.
  2. Meet the criteria set by the subject committee.
  3. Pass an entrance exam for specialized subjects in the semester system.
  4. A recent photograph and educational certificates from SLC/SEE to the Bachelor’s level.
