Bachelors of Business Management

The Bachelor of Business Management (BBM) program of the Faculty of Management. Tribhuvan University is an industry-based management course that prepares students to develop critical and analytical skills and gain in-depth knowledge about different aspects of business. It nurtures skills like entrepreneurship, interpersonal skills, and leadership skills that help the graduates get better job opportunities and career development. It is, therefore, designed for aspiring business leaders and managers of the future. The BBM graduates are equipped with

the necessary knowledge, skills and self-confidence to assist in effective and successful management, within a constantly changing and highly competitive national and global business environment. This course has been designed to produce middle-level managerial manpower in the sectoral areas.

Eligibility Criteria

Students applying for admission to the BBM program must have completed a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.

Minimum D+ grade in each subject from grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 1.80 or more / Secured at least second division in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent program; and Complied with all the application procedure.

Bachelor of Science

The B.Sc. General is an undergraduate degree program conducted on a year-wise basis, offering students the flexibility to study diverse disciplines within the field of science. It encompasses a broad academic spectrum, covering both biological and physical sciences. The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. General) equips students with up-to-date theoretical knowledge and practical exposure, enabling them to understand contemporary scientific concepts, innovations, and technological advancements.

Eligibility Criteria

Any candidates who have completed 10+2 or equivalent securing minimum ‘C’ grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 are eligible for admission in Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) program of Tribhuvan University.

Admission criteria

A student who seeks admission to the B.Sc. program:

Must appear in an entrance examination of two hours duration conducted by Central Campus of Technology, Institute of Science and Technology (IOST), TU.
Candidates securing at least 50% marks in the entrance examination are eligible to admit in the program.
The selection of the students for admission will be based as per the merit of the entrance examination.
Candidate must comply with all the application procedures.

Bachelor of Financial Administration

The Bachelor of Financial Administration (BFA), is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program in Financial Administration developed by Shaheed Smriti Multiple Campus in collaboration with the Faculty of Management, TU. This program aims to provide a holistic understanding of theories in financial administration and impart skills related to financial administration. BFA operates as a semester-based program. It was initiated in the academic year 2018. The program encompasses 120 credit hours distributed across eight semesters. The program is structured to cover every facet of business such as finance, accounting, marketing, operations, economics, human resources, and other functional business areas. Students have the flexibility to specialize in either Public Finance or Business Finance starting from the fifth semester. Moreover, the program offers elective courses aligned with the demands of corporate sectors and local needs of society.

Students applying for admission to the BFA program must have successfully completed a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University

Bachelor in Information Communication Technology Education

Bachelor in Information Communication Technology Education(BICTE) is an undergraduate program offered by Tribhuvan University, under the Faculty of Education. It is a 4-year semester-based program spreading over 8 semesters, which provides students a wide range of proficiency in Information and Communication Technology Hardware Concept, Programming, Data Structure, Management Information System, Computer Graphics, Artificial Intelligence, Web Programming, Software Development, and foundation knowledge and skills to be an ICT professional. This program is designed to prepare students with sound knowledge and skills in ICT as well as pedagogy for teaching Computer Science, and providing innovative solutions to the education of the digital world.

It aims at equipping graduates with the skills and attributes required to be effective and efficient ICT professionals in the field of Information and Communication Technology Education.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying for admission to the BICTE program must have:

Successfully completed a twelve-year schooling or its equivalent from any university, board or institution recognized by Tribhuvan University.
Minimum C grade in each subject of grade 11 and 12 with CGPA 2.01 or more / Secured at least second division in the 10+2, PCL or equivalent program; and
Complied with all the application procedure.

Bachelor of Education

Bachelor of Education is an academic undergraduate program which provides fundamental knowledge of education, innovation in teaching, and social policy to produce teachers in the primary and secondary levels of schools.

Four-year B.Ed. with annual examination system is a professional as well as an academic program designed for preparing competent teachers who can teach two subjects at the secondary level. students of a four-year BEd. program will have to study one subject area as a specialization major, and the next as a specialization minor area.

Eligibility Criteria

Students who have completed 10+2 or equivalent examinations securing minimum ‘D+’ grade in all subjects of Grade 11 and 12 are eligible to enroll in B.Ed program of Tribhuvan University.

Or,

Students with Higher Secondary Education Examination Pass Certificate (HSEEPC, hereafter only HSE) or Proficiency Certificate Level of Tribhuvan University (PCL) or equivalent to HSE/grade 12 pass are eligible for the admission in B.Ed programme.

Bachelor of Business Studies

The objective of the BBS program at the Faculty of Management is to develop students into competent managers for any sector of organized activity. The program is based on the principle that graduates will spend a major portion of their life in a constantly changing environment. Therefore, the student should have an opportunity to obtain a broad knowledge of the concepts and reality-based skills underlying the operation and management of organizations. Upon graduation, a student should be equipped to function as a manager in business, industry and government. The graduates should also have a variety of career opportunities in different sectors of business including entrepreneurship and create much needed jobs for others.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidate applying for admission to the BBS program:

Must have successfully completed the 10+2 in business/ commerce or an equivalent course from a Higher Secondary School Board or from Tribhuvan University, or from other University/ Board recognized by T.U or must have studied mathematics or economics as a full paper at the 10+2 program.
Must have studied English as a full paper at the 10+2 or equivalent programme.
Must have secured the minimum marks at the 10+2 or equivalent programme as prescribed by the Faculty Board or campus concerned.
Must satisfy any other entry requirements or criteria as prescribed by the Faculty Board or the campus

Bachelor of Arts

Bachelor of Arts (BA) from Tribhuvan University aims to enhance students’ conceptual and theoretical understanding and methodological skills of respective subjects. On completion of this course, students possess theoretical knowledge and practical skills of recognized standard with which they can pursue their career in multitude of profession such as teaching, journalism, consultancy, social work activism, NGO, INGO and Government Organization services.

BA encompasses the inter-disciplinary subjects where students can study Compulsory English, Major English, Social Work, Population studies within the same stream.

The four-year course is of 2,000 marks (500 marks each year) and students can choose two subjects of 700 marks each as their majors and two subjects of 100 marks each as elective subjects.

The students will be evaluated on the basis of written examinations of 70 marks, while 30 marks will be for internal assessment, including mini project, classroom presentation and teamwork for each subject.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:

Students should have secured at least D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12.

Must have completed the intermediate, Proficiency Certificate or 10+2 level, in Humanities or Science or Management Stream from Tribhuvan University or any other University or Board recognized by Tribhuvan University.
Students desirous of studying Major English in the BA Program may do so, but are required to pass the Major English Subject within three years at +2 or PCL recognized by TU if they have not already studied this course at +2 or PCL Level.
Students who have studied any other subject at +2 or PCL level can apply for admission to Major subjects like Social Work in the BA Program.
