The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Shaheed Smriti Multiple Campus (SSMC) is a pivotal body for continuous academic monitoring and enhancement. Established with the core objective of institutionalising quality assurance practices, the IQAC serves as the driving force behind our unwavering pursuit of academic excellence, operational transparency, and holistic student development.

Operating under the guidelines of national higher education frameworks and the University Grants Commission (UGC), the IQAC acts as a nodal agency that synchronises efforts across all campus departments. It systematically plans, guides, and monitors quality enhancement activities to ensure that SSMC remains a top-tier educational hub in the Chitwan district.

Core Objectives

• Quality Benchmarking: To develop, apply, and monitor quality benchmarks and parameters for diverse academic and administrative activities across the institution.
• Learner-Centric Environment: To facilitate the creation of an engaging, student-centric academic environment and foster faculty maturation toward employing modern, participatory teaching and learning methodologies.
• Stakeholder Feedback: To arrange for consistent, structured feedback from students, parents, alumni, and employers on institutional processes to drive continuous improvement.
• Capacity Building: To organise inter- and intra-institutional workshops, seminars, and training programs on quality-related themes for both teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Accreditation Readiness: To prepare the institution for rigorous periodic accreditation and assessment cycles (such as UGC Quality Assurance and Accreditation).

Key Functions & Responsibilities

• Documentation: Meticulous documentation of various programs and activities leading to tangible quality improvements.
• Best Practices: Acting as the central coordinating agency for the adoption, dissemination, and institutionalisation of educational best practices.
• Institutional Database: Development and maintenance of a comprehensive institutional database through a Management Information System (MIS) to enhance data-driven decision-making.
• Continuous Review: Regular auditing and review of the teaching-learning processes, research initiatives, governance policies, and student support services to ensure alignment with national and international academic standards.
