Nature of Course

Bachelor in Financial Administration (BFA) is a Multi-Disciplinary course. It logically combines theories of financial management and theories of economics to create holistic knowledge about both public finance and business finance. It is four year semester based autonomous program of SSMC under the guidance and suppervision  of Faculty of Management, Tribhuvan University. It includes 120 credit hour courses within 8 semester. It provides students to select in two specialization areas (Public Finance and Business Finance) from fifth semester and several elective courses based on the demand of the corporate sectors. 

Objective of the Course

The basic objective of the proposed Program is to equip students with the knowledge of financial economics. The other objectives of this program are:

  1. To develop the caliber and dynamic managers for financial institutions by providing practical knowledge of financial management.
  2. To provide capable and responsible officers to the revenue and planning divisions of the government.
  3. To develop junior level researchers in the field of management.

Student Enrollment Requirement

The students who wants to admit in BFA program have to fulfill the following requirements bases on the Shaheed Smriti Autonomous Rule and BFA Program Working Procedure.

  1. Students who completed +2 level with at least second division/ CGPA 1.8 and at least D+ in each subject of Class 11 and 12 or equivalent can enroll into this program.
  2. Student must obtain 40% pass mark in Shaheed Smriti Management Entrance Test (SSMET).
  3. The students who passed in SSMET will have to face the interview conducted by the campus.
  4. Students will be admitted on merit basis of the scores obtained from entrance test, academic qualification and interview.
  5. Enrollment capacity will be defined before admission. And, 40 students will be admitted per section.

Teaching Learning Methods

The main teaching learning method of this program will be based on connectedness approach. It will be designed in such a way that students can explore their potentiality in full capacity. Following methods of teaching will be used.
